Employ Your Haters! How I Turned Controversy Into Fortune

When you’re bold, beautiful and black….Unfortunately, some people will take every opportunity to attempt to dethrone you. But the key to black excellence is transmuting every single negative to a positive.

Building community and ecosystems requires strategy.

You can’t hold space for everyone because your energy is a resource.

Trying to please everyone is just not sustainable.

Coddling egos and abiding by likability politics does not support the radical work of healing.

I’ve been trying to reach a community that, in many ways, doesn’t yet know love.

A community that confuses accountability with conflict. That fears the very thing it claims to seek….acknowledgment.

And that’s what’s made this position so challenging.

Because offering love to people who don’t recognize it….who think discipline is an attack or boundaries are rejection, requires deep spiritual stamina.

But even in that tension, I’ve been able to reach enough.

Enough to create impact.

Enough to make a difference collectively and in my own life.

And that’s enough for now.

Not everyone is going to like you or recieve you. But when you’re an alchemist you can turn that into something. And when I say something,

I’m talking six-figure receipts.

From Substack to OnlyFans. I turned public scrutiny into public currency. Why? Because I overstand the game most people are too emotional to play:

The internet doesn’t pay for peace. It pays for conflict.

The Algorithm Isn’t Your Friend!!!

It’s Your Funnel

And if you have the heart you can absolutely transmute that negativity!

Every time someone shares your post in outrage, comments with disgust, or stitches your words out of context…..you win.

Because clicks = engagement.

Engagement = visibility.

Visibility = opportunity.

Opportunity = money.

So while they argued about what I said or how I said it,

I was redirecting that traffic to my:

• Offerings

• Memberships

• Mailing list

• Booking links

• Paywalled content

• Classes and events

And you can, too.

EMPLOY. YOUR. HATERS.

I’ve been saying it for years. If you’re not employing your haters, you’re missing out on a financial opportunity.

Every viral moment is a portal:

Sell the product

Promote the brand

Drive traffic to your platform

Build your mailing list

Use the noise to create value.

Turn their emotional labor into your economic leverage. Build something tangible for yourself and that’s not a whole bunch of content for other people to steal and make money off of!

Likability is NOT a Business Model

Let’s stop pretending the internet rewards “kindness, truth and community building”.

You don’t get paid for being liked…..you get paid for being seen. And once you’re seen, it’s your job to have the infrastructure in place to convert attention into income.

You want to go viral for being universally liked? That’s cute. But rarely translates to big bucks!

I went viral for telling the truth, for being ahead of the curve, and for being unbought and unbossed…..and I got paid.

Because while they tried to cancel me, I was building capital.

While they debated my tone, I was building a client base.

While they flooded the comments, I was building a nu paradigm…..one rooted in authenticity, not approval.

And the truth is…

Controversy doesn’t ruin you. It reveals you.

What you do with it is what determines your fortune.

Stop being afraid of being misunderstood.

Stop performing for people who don’t pay you.

Stop wasting energy on optics when you could be building ownership.

Does it hurt sometimes? Of course.

Especially when the very people you uplift turn their backs.

When the shade starts to dim the light you worked so hard to stand in.

That part is real…..and I constantly have to transmute it.

But I keep going.

Because the truth is,

Not everyone with the gift has the heart.

So as painful as it may be initially….let them talk. Let them tweet. Let them gossip.

Just make sure you own the funnel they’re feeding.

Because while they’re screaming into the void…

You can be stacking! Enjoying the ease, comforts and opportunities that come with consistent cash flow, exposure and visibility!
